You will be arriving at North Eleuthera Airport, code ELH. Upon arrival take a taxi from the airport to the Three Island Dock ($5 per person) At Three Island Dock take a water taxi to the Government dock on Harbour Island ($5 per person).
There are taxis available on the dock when you arrive. You may also choose to walk if you do not have much luggage, the house is a short walk along Bay Street. If you have rented golf carts for your stay, you can prearrange for you cart to be dropped off at the docks so you can drive yourself.

All the water in the cottage is filtered through a reverse osmosis system, making it safe to drink.
It is not uncommon for power outages to occur on Harbour Island. We have a generator that will automatically come on in the event of a power outage. If there is ever an issue, contact Peter Higgs directly. Please do not try to fix the problem yourself.
We have several excellent babysitters for all ages of children. Please contact Peter Higgs to arrange 1 (242) 554-5784
Our housekeepers will come twice per week. This is a service that is provided, it is also mandatory. The washer and dryer are located in the back of the two bedroom cabana for your own personal use. *It is customary to give $25-30 per person per week gratuity to the houskeeper
Someone will come by daily to clean and monitor the levels in the pool. If you would like the temperature of the pool adjusted, please ask the person cleaning the pool to assist you. Do not adjust the pool settings yourself.
There is a thermostat in each of the rooms. They will be set to the “dry” setting when you arrive. Please never adjust the setting. The temperature can be adjusted to your preference. Please do not run the Air Conditioner while the doors or windows are open.
We recommend opening all the doors and turning the A/C off during the days and letting the fresh ocean air circulate through the house. In the evening, close the windows and doors before turning the A/C units on for sleeping.
Our cleaning staff and Property Manager will ensure that the garage will be removed from the property. There is an area behind the cabanas for recycling and garbage to be stored.
Yes, there is a Royal Bank on Dunmore Street.
You can use either US dollars or Bahamian dollars. The Bahamian dollar is tied to the American dollar and has equal value while you are in the Bahamas, so there is no need to exchange money before arriving, provided you have USD.
Visa and Mastercard are expected everywhere. Discover and AMEX are not always.
The town of Dunmore and the beach is very walkable. We recommend you rent a golf cart so you can easily explore the whole island. Fort Point cottage has space to park two golf carts.
